Otra medalla de oro recibe Ron Macuro, esta vez en el Internacional Review of Spirits, realizado en el Beverage Testing Institute de Chicago, Illinois, E.E.U.U. el pasado mes de junio.
Nota oficial de cata: "Deep copper color with an orange cast. Intense buttery caramel corn, toasted nuts, chocolate truffle, dried cherry, and marzipan aromas are exceptional. A velvety entry leads to a very smooth, sweet, and oily full-bodied palate with deep flavors of chocolate-covered cherries and figs, rich brown spices, cola, almonds, leather, and toffee. Finishes with a long, sweet and rich, finish of caramel, vanillin, spice, cigar box, and dried stone fruits. An unusually aromatic and flavorful aged rum that borders on liqueur with strong bourbon, brandy, and port barrel influences. Interesting and certainly unique, but perhaps a bit much."
